This is my 4th year with Women Build, so if you're on my page, chances are that you've heard me talk about this amazing experience! I love the mission, the people and obviously build day. Working with almost 800 Chicago women every October to raise up other women in our city is really empowering and one of the few times a year that I truly feel like I am connected to my city and making a difference in someone's life.

Of course building materials today aren't cheap (nor would we want to cheap out with someone's future home!), and this is a fundraising endeavor, so please support my cause by giving $10, $20, or even $100 dollars by my build date of 10/26/24! Your donation is in good hands with Habitat Chicago; they're a nonprofit committed to championing healthy neighborhoods by investing in resident priorities, building quality homes, and supporting homeownership through loans and financial literacy education.  

Homeownership is one of the most dynamic tools a person can use to build a strong and stable future. Habitat does great work in trying to right the injustice of a long-standing system that has for too long denied women access to being homeowners at the same rates as men. The future women homeowners of the homes we build are placed right alongside us every build day, learning the ins and outs of what goes into making their future house. It's so inspiring to hear from them about what this means for their families!
