Homeownership is one of the most dynamic tools anyone can use to build a strong and stable future. However, far too many people are unjustly denied access to this opportunity. From income disparities that impact credit profiles to uneven childcare responsibilities that strain both time and financial resources, to higher rates of mortgage denials despite solid payment histories, the hurdles to homeownership are significant.
This October, I’m grabbing my hammer, strapping on my tool belt, and joining Habitat Chicago’s Women Build alongside 780 committed participants to help break down these barriers. Together, we’ll work to make homeownership a reality for more families through Habitat Chicago, an organization dedicated to building healthy neighborhoods by investing in resident priorities, constructing quality homes, and supporting homeownership.
You can make a difference by helping me reach my fundraising goal. Your contribution, no matter the size, will help prove that a group of committed individuals can create lasting change.
Change happens one person at a time. I appreciate any support you can give—big, small, or somewhere in between.
