Often, we look around and see people doing something worthwhile and trying to contribute in whatever way they can for a bigger cause that requires collective efforts of the society. And how many times did we wish to be a part of those group efforts? How often have we read about people who contributed no matter how little to a layer of history in order to shape the present that we are currently experiencing?

Well, here is a chance to be a part of something worthwhile, something that would help elevate the living of those who need that, bit by bit. Founded in the early 1940's, Habitat for Humanity has been significantly changing lives through their efforts. Their work reaches millions of people and is changing lives every second we spend. Their Chicago chapter has been building communities in the southwest neighborhoods of the city. They are currently working in the west Pullman neighborhood with their teams and thousands of volunteers taking part in their initiative throughout the year.

DxU Architects is pleased to join HFH’s efforts in building homes for the families. Their fight for home ownership has been remarkable and we will be joining forces in not just working on the built sites but also raising funds. We have set our first goal at $3000 but we would like to contribute more and more with each passing year, hoping that you all will be helping us with our efforts in reaching our set goal and contributing in any way we can. Take out some time from our busy schedule and give a little back to the society and develop an impressive community and environment.

For example, children who remain in a consistent and safe home environment are significantly more likely to graduate from high school and college and people who own affordable homes are found to have more discretionary income to buy health insurance, pay down debt, or save for education. 

With one in ten Chicagoans currently living in inadequate housing, the time to act is now! We're making a difference by helping to raise funds for Habitat for Humanity Chicago, a local organization committed to building a city where every resident lives in a healthy home in a vibrant neighborhood.
