Tax information. A tax receipt will be sent to you via email or mail, dependent upon whether you made an online gift or offline gift (check). Habitat for Humanity Chicago is a registered 501(c)(3) organization. Contributions to Habitat for Humanity Chicago are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law. Habitat for Humanity Chicago's Tax ID number (EIN) is 46-0494889.
Submitting an offline donation. If you prefer to make a donation via check, please: 1. Make your check payable to "Habitat for Humanity Chicago".
2. In the memo line or on an enclosed note, write the person's full name or team name to whom the donation should be credited. If you are making a general donation, just write "general donation".
3. Mail or bring your check to:

4. You should see the donation allocated to the correct fundraising page within 10 days of receipt. If you do not, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
Make a donation to the wrong place?No problem! Email email@example.com or call 312-563-0296 x22 and we will get that re-allocated.
Matching gifts. Thousands of companies have Matching Gifts programs that double or even triple individual contributions made by their employees. Check with your Human Resources Department to see if and how you can have your gift matched. If you need Habitat to complete a form, email us firstname.lastname@example.org.
