I'm really excited to join the team this year in supporting Habitat Chicago's Women Build! Becoming a home owner is sometime so far out of reach, and especially for women. With the incredible hardships this year has posed on everyone, this is more important than ever to help women secure their futures as homeowners.

Homeownership is one of the most dynamic tools a person can use to build a strong and stable future. However, it is a tool that far too many women are unjustly denied access. From the gender pay gap and its impact on credit profiles, to uneven child care responsibilities that consume time and financial resources, to higher rates of mortgage denials despite superior payment performance, the hurdles keeping women from homeownership are high.

This October, I'm joining over 450 other women to help out fellow women looking to become homeowners. I hope you'll join me in helping me contribute to this worthwhile cause. Every little bit helps!
