Did you know that in Honduras 68.2% of the population lives in poverty, of which 44.6% are extremely poor. 8% of households are overcrowded, plus 14% of households do not have a water and sanitation systems. Also, 38% of households in rural areas do not have electricity.
Habitat for Humanity has provided homes to 22,000 families in Honduras but 350,000 new homes are needed and over 770,000 require improvements.
I'm grabbing a hammer, strapping on a tool belt, and securing a hard hat. Why? Because everyone deserves a decent place to call Home.
