THIS adventure is about Home Ownership and how I am working with Habitat for Humanity Women Build to make the challenging goal of home ownership for women a reality.

Home ownership is one of the most dynamic tools a person can use to build a strong and stable future, and access to this tool is denied to far too many women.

The barriers keeping women from home ownership are massive.

Just to name a few:

- The gender pay gap and its impact on credit profiles

- Inequitable child care responsibilities consuming time, financial resources, and energy

- Higher mortgage denial rates for women over men, despite superior payment performance from women...


Habitat Chicago is committed to building a world where everyone has a decent place to live.

On October 12th, I'm grabbing my tools alongside 400 powerhouse women for Habitat Chicago's - WOMEN BUILD - to knock these barriers down.

I need to meet or exceed a goal of $375 by October 12th.
