The benefits of stable, affordable homeownership are immense and cannot be overstated. Homeownership lays the foundation for self-reliance; it serves as a bridge to becoming part of a larger community; it builds wealth; it fosters confidence and independence; it provides stability and sanctuary; and ultimately, it breaks the cycle of poverty that so many people — mostly women — get trapped in as a result of unequal access to jobs, uneven childcare responsibilities that consume time and financial resources, higher rates of mortgage denials despite superior payment, and wage disparity (just to name a few).

Despite these systemic hurdles, women continue to outpace men in terms of homeownership nationwide. Each year, I build for them—for the families they fiercely lead, the work they tirelessly do, the communities they comprise, and the future they absolutely deserve.
