Did you know that each year, Women Build brings a community of women together to help fellow women access the life-changing benefits of affordable homeownership. So this year, I'm grabbing my hammer, strapping on my tool belt, and joining Habitat Chicago's Women Build alongside 400 other powerhouse women to knock these barriers down. Together, we will help our fellow women become homeowners with Habitat Chicago, a nonprofit committed to building a world where everyone has a decent place to live. To do so each Women Builder commits to raising money to help fund Habitat homes that will be owned by women. Then, I will join my Women Build team on the Habitat Chicago build site for one day of Women Build week (October 10th) to help build the homes.

I am super excited to be part of this and help building houses with my own hands and sweat.
