Everyone deserves the opportunity to build a strong future, but when families have to pay inflated heating bills on top of overpriced rent, they're forced to make sacrifices. This winter I am raising money for a heating system for a new Habitat Chicago home in West Pullman.

In the city of Chicago, 117,000 households are paying more than 50% of income for rent. Nearly 108,000 households are overcrowded, with more than one person per room. I am doing my part so that families will no longer have to choose between heat and personal health.
