Inspired by the leadership and innovation of our local tech scene, Habitat Chicago has launched The House That Tech Built – a volunteer initiative brand new to Chicago and exclusively for tech companies.
Crash Course
Basic Data
The Martin home will be the 15th Habitat Chicago home constructed on 119th and S. Union Ave in the West Pullman neighborhood (a formerly vacant block.)
From April 27th - October 26th, two Fridays each month will be reserved exclusively for companies participating in The House that Tech Built. All build days run from 8am-3pm.
Volunteer day activities can include anything it takes to build a home from start to finish. No construction experience is necessary - in fact, most of our volunteers are brand new to the world of construction.
Whether you're painting, roofing, or landscaping, you're sure to have a rewarding experience building the framework for a stronger future.
