When: Friday, May 1 – Wednesday, May 13, 2015
Where: Malawi, East Africa

What: We will be building homes for orphaned and vulnerable children in Salima in the southeast part of Malawi.  

The caregivers of those children will be working with us and performing their sweat equity. Habitat for Humanity Malawi provides caregivers with legal support, health education, etc.  Typical work includes mixing mortar and concrete, carrying construction materials, fixing chicken wire, digging foundations, making and laying bricks, carrying water, and other tasks as assigned.  Check out the HFH Malawi web site


Itinerary:
Friday, May 1: Departure from U.S.
Saturday: Arrive in Lilongwe
Sunday: Travel to HFH Affiliate
Monday - Thursday: Work days
Friday: Work and house dedication
Saturday: Cultural activities
Sunday May 10: Departure
May 10 - 13: Optional side trip to Zambia
