As a new home owner, I know how stressful the buying process can be. I feel very blessed to have the means to have made the purchase--to invest in a place where my husband and I can grow together. Not everyone has this opportunity readily available to them. Habitat for Humanity offers programs to people who may otherwise not be able to attain home loans. Heads of households participate in these programs and are able to be approved for a loan to purchase a Habitat Home. This helps them build their family's future.
This October, I'm grabbing my hammer, strapping on my tool belt, and joining Habitat Chicago's Women Build alongside 600 determined women to knock these barriers down. Together, we will help our fellow women become homeowners with Habitat Chicago, a nonprofit committed to championing healthy neighborhoods by investing in resident priorities, building quality homes, and supporting homeownership.
You can make a difference by helping me reach my fundraising goal and prove that there's nothing a group of committed women can't do.
