Last month I helped a family purchase groceries in Colombia (in person) who couldn´t afford food or electricity. Habitat for humanity helps families who can´t afford a home in 4 easy ways:
1. Sweat equity- family members who qualify help build their own home (teaching a man to fish)
2. Financial Education- families are coached on finances to help them succeed long term
3. Community-Low income neighborhoods are rebuilt and company culture is enhanced when individuals and company teams help rebuild and give
4. Love- when you go out of your way to give back, this is a true sign of loving others
