I have been on the board of Habitat for Humanity Chicago since 2014. This last year, as we’ve all spent more time at home than ever before, I’ve become even more aware of how important having a safe, decent place to live truly is. At Habitat Chicago, we’re committed to seeing Chicago thrive. By partnering with committed residents and trusted organizations, we help families and communities achieve strength, stability and self-reliance through housing, beautification and development projects.

I am hosting a virtual table at Habitat for Humanity Chicago’s Annual Benefit 2021: Under One Roof on Thursday, May 20, from noon to 1:00. The great lineup of speakers includes former Chicago Bear Israel Idonije, poet Nate Marshall, and Habitat Chicago homeowners.
