This past year, the global pandemic shed a harsh light on what happens to our society when a safe place to call home is out of reach for too many of our neighbors. It impacts our collective physical and mental health, our financial security, and our social wellbeing. With one in 10 Chicagoans currently living in inadequate housing, the time to act is now.
I'm working to make a difference by helping to raise funds for Habitat for Humanity Chicago, a local organization committed to building a city where everyone has a safe, stable, and affordable place to call home.
By contributing to my goal of $5,000, you will ensure that more of our Chicago neighbors have the opportunity to thrive in safe and stable homes. The funds that I raise will go towards purchasing the Framing Lumber for the home (which is super important, especially now, since there is a shortage and prices have quadrupled just this year!)
I appreciate any support you can give - big, small, or somewhere in between!
Thank you! Jake
