We hope you will join us in raising $60,000 for Habitat for Humanity Chicago.
The global pandemic has shed a harsh light on what happens to our society when a safe place to call home is out of reach for so many of our neighbors. It impacts our individual and collective physical and mental health, financial security and social well-being. One in ten Chicagoans lacks adequate housing. Habitat Chicago combines its resources and expertise with the homeowners’ sweat equity and long-term payments to build homes and neighborhoods for deserving families who could not otherwise afford a safe, stable place to call home. And those homes are making all the difference between troubled, unproductive lives and lives with new opportunities.
We are inviting you to join our “virtual table” at this year’s Habitat benefit on Thursday, May 20, from noon to 1:00. The great lineup of speakers includes former Chicago Bear Israel Idonije, poet Nate Marshall, and Habitat Chicago homeowners. The event will be livestreamed at my.habitatchicago.org/AnnualBenefit2021. Whether or not you can participate at that time, we hope you will contribute.
Your contribution can be tripled. All contributions, up to a total of $20,000, will be tripled by a two-for-one match from us and another supporter of Habitat Chicago.
Please join us. • To contribute by credit card, click on the DONATE button above.
• To contribute by check (from your IRA, donor advised fund or otherwise), make your check payable to Habitat for Humanity Chicago, and write Annual Benefit – Avery/Donaldson Table on the memo line. Then mail it to Habitat Chicago, Attention Deena Prescavage, 1100 West Cermak Road, #404, Chicago IL 60608.
We deeply appreciate any support you can give. You will be helping to make a huge difference in many lives.
If our table raises the most for this event, we will receive a complimentary build day on which 20 of us can build homes on the Habitat Chicago construction site.
