I have been looking for a way to volunteer my time, so when the opportunity to help build a home with Habitat for Humanity came along, I found myself raising my hand!

Everyone knows I’m pretty handy, so grabbing a hammer along with 300 other women to make a contribution seems natural to me…. Raising money from people I know seems much less so. But I’m not above begging!

I recently found out that women experience higher rates of mortgage denials despite superior payment performance. That’s just not okay! So this is my small contribution to help give another woman the opportunity to experience homeownership. I need your help to raise funds. My threshold is pretty low so I appreciate any support you can give - big, small, itsy bitsy, or somewhere in between!
