It's hard to believe this is my 6th year participating in Women Build!
As a homeowner (who's currently in the middle of home renovations!), I've been reminded just how much I love picking up a hammer. I'm grateful that every year I get to do the same alongside my amazing coworkers. Whether it's blazing hot, freezing cold, or pouring rain (we've experienced all three!), we always have a blast giving back to our community.
I also know that being a homeowner is a privilege. Having a safe, stable place to call home brings a sense of security that everyone deserves, but for too many women, especially Black women, systemic barriers continue to make homeownership much harder to achieve.
If you're able, I'd love your support. And even if you can't donate, I hope you'll take a few minutes to learn more about housing inequity and why this work matters. Every family deserves the opportunity to build a place to call home.
