Affordable homeownership can change everything. It helps kids thrive in school, makes neighborhoods safer, improves health, and creates real financial stability. But for a lot of women, the road to owning a home isn’t exactly smooth—thanks to things like the wage gap, credit barriers, and juggling childcare.
That’s why this October, I’m joining forces with Habitat for Humanity Chicago’s Women Build—and I couldn’t be more excited. Alongside 550 badass women (yep, that’s a real number), we’re working to raise $740,000 to help build homes that women can actually afford to own.
And we’re not just writing checks—we’re putting on hard hats and getting to work on the build site too.
I believe in this mission, and I believe in the power of a group of women who show up, speak out, and get things done.
