Homeownership is one of the most dynamic tools a person can use to build a strong and stable future. However, it is a tool that far too many women are missing from their toolbox. By removing some of the barriers to this important tool, we can make a difference in entire communities.
Habitat for Humanity Chicago, a nonprofit committed to championing healthy neighborhoods, is leading the charge by investing in resident priorities, building quality homes, and supporting homeownership. This October, I'm grabbing a hammer and joining the 13th Annual Women Build event alongside teammates from First Women's Bank to help women become homeowners.
