Habitat for Humanity's Women Build is back and I'm asking for your support. I'm excited for year 2! We have (2) SCB teams and I am one of the team captains. Last year we framed walls, headers, and raised walls in Pullman - it was amazing! This year's build is October 6th in the Greater Grand Crossing neighborhood, located in Chicago's South Side.
Homeownership is a powerful tool a person can use to build a strong and stable future. Far too many women are unjustly denied access. From the gender pay gap , to uneven childcare responsibilities, to higher rates of mortgage denials despite superior payment performance, the hurdles keeping women from homeownership are high.
This October, I'm grabbing my hammer, strapping on my tool belt, and joining Habitat Chicago's Women Build to knock these barriers down. Together, we will help our fellow women become homeowners with Habitat Chicago, a nonprofit committed to building a world where everyone has a decent place to live.
You can make a difference by helping me reach my fundraising goal so we can change the lives of these women. I appreciate any support you can give - big or small.
Thanks! Madeline
