Support Lexi Li in Women Build

Homeownership is a tool to empowerment. It is also a tool so many women are unjustly denied access. Women pay more for their homes but sell them for less*. They are subjected to higher rates of mortgage denials despite superior payment performance**. Their burden for paying for mortgage is intensified by gender pay gap and unequally distributed childcare responsibilities.

This is what makes it exceptionally meaningful to help women to a more secure homeownership, especially as a woman supporting fellow women, alongside 550 similarly minded people. Together, we will help our fellow women become homeowners with Habitat for Humanity, a nonprofit committed to building a world where everyone has a decent place to live.

As a builder, I joined a team of women and will be building homes in the Greater Grand Crossing neighborhood in Chicago. But even if you cannot be on-site, you can change the lives of these women by donating. Change happens one person at a time. Any support you can give - big, small, or somewhere in between - will be greatly appreciated by the women needing the most help. Let's prove that there's nothing a group of committed women can't do.

Thank you for reading and wanting to help!
Lexi
