CRASH COURSE

Inspired by the leadership and innovation of our local tech scene, Habitat Chicago launched The House That Tech Built in 2018. Together, we raised $200,000 and built a Habitat Chicago home from start to finish. In 2019, we're doing it all again!  

Employees from Chicago tech companies are rolling up their sleeves to build and fund a Habitat Chicago home in West Pullman. With our valued tech partners, we have two big goals:

1. Raise the $150,000 needed to construct the home.
2. Build the home from start to finish, from April - October. 
 

BASIC DATA

From April - October, two Fridays each month will be reserved on the Habitat Chicago build site for companies participating in The House that Tech Built. All build days run from 8am-3pm.

Volunteer day activities can include anything it takes to build a home from start to finish. No construction experience is necessary - in fact, most of our volunteers are brand new to the world of construction. 

Whether you're painting, roofing, or landscaping, you're sure to have a rewarding experience building the framework for a stronger future.
