Tax information.You will receive a receipt acknowledging your gift via email or mail, dependent upon whether you made an online gift or offline gift (check). Habitat for Humanity Chicago is a registered 501(c)(3) organization. Contributions to Habitat for Humanity Chicago are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law. Habitat for Humanity Chicago's Tax ID Number (EIN) is 46-0494889.
Submitting an offline donation.If you prefer to make a donation via check, please:
1. Make your check payable to "Habitat for Humanity Chicago".
2. In the memo line or on an enclosed note, write the person's full name or team name to whom the donation should be credited. If you are making a general donation, just write "general donation".
