Support Habitat Chicago Women Build

In a time when there is a great deal of negativity facing our country, it feels important to come together in support of something - especially when that something supports women and promotes their strength.
Habitat for Humanity Chicago's Women Build will kick off next week and bring together over 300 women across Chicagoland to fund and help build the home of a women-led family. This year, #CHIWomenBuild will support Darlene, a woman whose strength most of us can only hope to embody one day.

Even though I no longer work with Habitat and I won't be participating in the event this year, Women Build will always hold a special place in my heart. I hope both Darlene's story and the spirit of so many women throughout the city of Chicago can inspire you the way it has inspired me in the past.
