In 2019, my journey with Habitat for Humanity Women Build Chicago 💚 began with a donation and grew into something much larger in my life. This work reflects what I value most: family, education, generational wealth, service, economic stability, and the power of homeownership 🏡 Year after year, Women Build has shown me what is possible when we bring our minds, bodies, hearts, and souls together for the common good.
After serving as a Builder 👷🏾♀️, Committee Member 👩🏽💼, and Co-Chair of the Women Build Committee 📆👩🏾💻, I am preparing to transition from this role and pursue similar leadership opportunities. Before I do, I need your help making this our most successful fundraising year yet . On September 14th I will celebrate my 50th birthday, and in keeping with tradition, I am asking family, friends, colleagues, and longtime supporters to celebrate with me by helping another family build something lasting.
My ask is simple: $50 💵 for my 50th. If you have traditionally supported me with $50 or $100, I challenge you to go a little further this year and double it. Help me make my greatest individual fundraising impact yet while continuing to build homes, stability, opportunity, and generational wealth for Chicago families.
