Affordable homeownership changes lives — it can mean better school performance, stronger financial footing, and better health and well-being for the whole family. But getting there isn't easy for everyone. Saving for a down payment, building credit, and juggling childcare all make the path to owning a home harder for a lot of women.

The women of Steiner Electric — Sparks of Change — want to do something about it. This October, we're linking arms, picking up our power tools, and joining Habitat for Humanity Chicago's Women Build. Alongside hundreds of other women, we're aiming to raise $750,000 to help build Habitat Chicago homes that families can purchase with affordable mortgages — then we're heading to the job site to help build them ourselves.

Help us reach our goal so more families can unlock everything a stable home makes possible, and help us prove there's nothing a committed group of women can't build together.
