Building homes for women in Chicago.

I participated last year and it was amazing. Thank you so much for helping me raise money. Let me share a bit about your impact and why I’m so grateful.

On the job site last year, we met a woman named Joyce. She is living in the house next to the one we were working on - a house that the Women Build team worked on the year prior. She warmly invited us dusty strangers in and showed us around her new home with so much pride. There wasn’t a dry eye hearing her story and her gratitude - the safety and peace of mind in having a secure, affordable home. It’s been life-changing for her and her son! Home ownership is one of the most impactful tools for gaining financial security.

We’re building in the West Pullman neighborhood again. I’m excited to see how the neighborhood is progressing. Another thing I love about this project is that Habitat for Humanity is focused on building neighborhoods, not just houses. We’re setting folks up for success by building homes AND communities.

I’m raising money to help with this project and strapping on a toolbelt along with 550 volunteers to get our hands dirty and build! I’m not going to ask you to pick up a hammer, but I am asking for your financial support! If you can put $5 toward this project, it will help me reach my goal of $800.
