Help Winter Warrior Katie Adams Bring the Heat

As most of you know, I am working for Habitat for Humanity Chicago this year, building homes in the West Pullman neighborhood.
The months of January through March are the most difficult time for the organization to raise funds and attract volunteers, so we're doing a special campaign to keep the furnaces burning all winter long. I am on a team raising money for siding and insulation for a new Habitat Chicago home to be built in 2018.
In the city of Chicago, 117,000 households are paying more than 50% of income for rent. Nearly 108,000 households are overcrowded, with more than one person per room. I am doing my part so that families will no longer have to choose between heat and personal health.
