We at Belgravia Group are fortunate to have enjoyed a long and successful career building homes in Chicago. Since 1989 we have developed approximately 2,500 condos, apartments and townhomes. Over the years we have supported many worthy charitable causes. In recognition of our homebuilidng roots we have committed to building a home on the south side of Chicago through Habitat for Humanity. We are teaming up with our friends at Maris Construction to make this dream a reality. Through Habitat, a site has been secured and plans are ready. The goal is to start construction in the Spring of 2020. Maris will be providing construction services as well as subcontractors providing pro bono work and materials. The gap we need to fill is $50,000 of cash for non-covered services.
Families living in decent housing experience fewer health issues and are less likely to require emergency care. Children living in quality and affordable housing are significantly more likely to graduate from high school and college. Families living in affordable homes have double the discretionary income to pay down debt or invest in a savings account.
With one in ten Chicagoans currently living in inadequate housing, the time to act is now! Belgravia is making a difference by building home for Habitat for Humanity Chicago, a nonprofit committed to building a city where every resident lives in a healthy home in a stable community.
